Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Exla ("we", "us"), which runs offstage cloud. They cover the console at api.offstage.cloud, the API, the SDK and the Macs behind them (together, "the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use the service for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you're allowed to.
The beta
offstage cloud is in beta. Features, limits and prices may change, and the service may be interrupted. We'll tell you before any change that costs you money.
Your account
You must be 18 or older. Use a real email address, and keep your password and API keys secret: you're responsible for what's done with them. If one leaks, revoke it in the console and tell us at hello@offstage.cloud. One free account per person or company.
Free credit
Every new team gets $5.00 of free credit, with no card needed. It pays for sandbox time at the rate shown in the console. It has no cash value, can't be transferred, and lapses if the beta ends or your account closes. We may withhold or remove credit that's being abused, for example through many accounts.
Paying
Sandboxes are metered by the second while you hold them, with no minimum. When your credit runs out, new work stops until you add a card or more credit. Once you add a card, you pay for what you use beyond your credit at the rates the console showed when it ran. A new rate applies only after we post it, never to time already used.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- mine cryptocurrency;
- attack, scan or probe systems you don't own or have permission to test, or send spam;
- host or spread malware or phishing, or content that sexually exploits children;
- get around our limits, metering or security, or reach other customers' data or our internal network;
- resell raw access to the Macs without our written permission.
Follow the license terms of the software you run, including Apple's for macOS and Xcode. We may suspend a sandbox, key or account that breaks these rules or puts the service or other people at risk, without notice when it's urgent.
Your content
What you and your agents put on a Mac (code, files, commands and their results) stays yours. You let us store, process and transmit it only as needed to run the service for you. When a sandbox ends, what was on it is deleted, so copy out what you need. We handle personal information as the Privacy page describes.
Our service
We own offstage cloud and its software, apart from your content and open-source components under their own licenses. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." As far as the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will keep your data.
Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and $100.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of your content or your breach of these terms, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Ending
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, and we may end the beta with 30 days' notice by email. The sections on your content, no warranty, limits on liability and indemnity survive the end of your account.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and email you about material changes before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept them.
